My BEST Thanksgiving EVER!

I LOVE Thanksgiving! Good food, people you love and relaxation. No hustle and bustle over gifts, it is just about being together. So why was this the Best Thanksgiving EVER?? I have had my husband home for FOUR days in a row!!! For the past FIVE years he has had a Thanksgiving break, BUT he has always had to be studying with finals right around the corner. Then last year he was in the Grand Canyon over Thanksgiving so we didn't see him. This year he has just been HOME with us!!

I love Thanksgiving!

My Parks

I wanted to post about my little man Parker. He is at one of my favorite stages in life. He is still really little that almost everything he does is cute, and big enough that he is getting independent. I love this little guy so much. He is really smart and is really good about getting into EVERYTHING that he is not supposed to. The other day I turned my back for one minute and he had poured jet dry all over the kitchen floor. The funny thing about it though is that he is so quiet, and you would never guess that he was up to something. Then if you try to get mad at him for doing it, he just thinks it is even funnier! I know, we are in trouble.

The main reason for this post is that I wanted to show this picture. He is already to the point that he will tell me when his diaper needs to be changed. I was on the computer and he came and told me that he was stinky. I told him I would come change him in a minute. A few minutes later I went to find him and he was on his bedroom floor, laying down on the changing pad with the diaper and wipes set out ready to go!! WHAT! He is only 18 months old! This describes him completely though. If Parker wants to do something, he is going to do, and you will try, but you probably cant stop him, and when he does it he is going to have a smile on his face!

Love you Mom and Dad

So this post is only a few months late but oh well! My mom and dad came out to visit us in September just for fun! I don't know how much a vacation it was for them because, of course, they had to do a project while they were here! We spent most of the time redoing our other bathroom. Last time they were here they redid the main bathroom. Needless to say I LOVE it! I could only get one good picture that really showed the color of the wall, but it is so refreshing and bright! The colors are green brown and white! MMMMM! Thanks Mom and dad, you are wonderful!

We also celebrated Benson's birthday while they were here. They bought him a baseball glove and he was OVERJOYED! He plays with it all the time. They also brought him a cowboy hat which he wouldn't take off! It was so fun having them here! We miss you!

The wonderful new bathroom!!!!

Popsicles fix everything!

Benson went in on Thursday and had his tonsils and adenoids taken out. He has always had such a hard time breathing at night and has had a cough for about a year, so we felt it was best to have the surgery and see if it makes any difference. Overall the surgery went great. He is home now just trying to take it easy. He is a trooper, and is still being so sweet even when he doesn't feel good. He is loving eating Popsicles and Gatorade all day and watching whatever movies he wants! Thanks for all the prayers and phone calls and meals and help! Everyone is so good to us!

Side note: When Benson was waking up from the anesthesia he was really aggressive and it took a while for us to get him calmed down. I was holding him and he didn't want me or Doug, he just kept asking for Brielle. It was so sweet. They really do love each other. Brielle was thrilled to hear that and has been so sweet to Benson through this.

P.S. Halloween pictures are coming soon. My camera battery died so my friend is emailing me some pictures. I will post them when I get them.

Here are some pictures of the patient and his brother and sister getting to enjoy Popsicles with him!
