Our snowy day in Tennessee

Well, it actually snowed for a little bit today. The weather here is crazy, just on Monday we were at the park and I was hot. Now it is freezing cold and snowing. It makes it a little hard to plan out your wardrobe, but then again I am very limited because I now only fit into maternity stuff anyway. I thought that I would post a picture of the snow because it doesn't happen here very often. I also included a picture of my sick kids. We took Brielle to the Dr. today and the diagnosis was a pretty bad bacterial infection. No Fun! At least it is not the flu, that would have been worse. The pictures of the kids are definitely not there best, but what can you say, I look pretty bad myself when I am sick!:)

Disney Princess Quiz

So who doesn't want to be just like a Disney Princess? Alice posted this quiz and it is fun! I was so excited to be Belle because she is my favorite!!

Which Disney Princess Are You?

You Are Belle!
Intelligent and kind. Your beauty goes much further than your appearance. Also, you make judgements of people based on their personality and not their looks. Attaining all the knowledge that you can is one of your major goals in life, but you are also a person who can make things happen.

Is Everyone sick?

I really thought we were going to avoid this major sickness going around, and we were doing good for a while, but alas I think it has caught up with us. Benson started with a fever on Sunday and after a Dr. diagnosis he has two ear infections and 4 teeth coming in at the same time. So antibiotics for him and hope that he will be better soon. Then this morning Brielle woke up with a fever. No other symptoms have followed, but I decided that buying stock in Tylenol might be beneficial to me in the long run. We definitley go through that stuff and it works wonders. Hopefully I can avoid getting what is going around but chances are slim since I am taking care of sick kids. At least I don't feel guilty that we are still in our pajamas at 2:00 in the afternoon right?

We are still here!

So I know that I have been the most slacker blogger, but we are still around and just so busy. I am just spending every free second packing and getting ready for our BIG MOVE! We are supposed to close on the house this Friday, and if all goes well we will officially move in on March 8th. We can't wait to finally have a home. I have to tell you though, now that we are getting a house, Brielle is convinced we need a pet. For those of you that don't know this, I do love animals, but I hope to never own a pet for the rest of my life. I have had way too many crazy pets during my childhood years and I am afraid they have left some mental scars on me! Anyway, we were driving in the car the other day and she decided to tell me all the reasons why we needed a dog and a cat. This is so funny because when we go to our friends houses that have pets she is usually scared of them. My friend Alice posted a picture of her cat Kitty-bear on her blog and I think this is the only pet Brielle is not afraid of. Maybe it is because she doesn't have a tail, I am not sure. Well, needless to say we will not be buying her a dog or a cat any time soon, and when I informed her of this her only response was, "But mom, I know how to give them a bath because I have watched you bathe Benson." I am not sure that Benson and a dog would react the same to a bath but you never know!

Through a childs eyes

So last Sunday we were getting ready to leave church and we were walking down the hall. All of the sudden Brielle said, "Mom I think I just saw President Hinckley!" I quietly told her that President Hinckley was not there and we kept walking outside. As we were walking across the parking lot I looked back at the building and coming through the door was our couple missionaries. They are older in years and suddenly I realized what Brielle was talking about. This man does look like President Hinckley a little bit and especially to a child. I really could see where she was coming from. I love kids! They are so simple and honest, and I am grateful that I have children of my own to keep reminding me of that.

What's in a name?

Lately I have been asked the question, "So what are you naming the baby?" at least a hundred times and my response is always the same, ?????????????. So I have decided to reach out to my friends and get some feedback on the names I like. If you happen to like a name I have posted, or you come up with another one, please hit the comment button under this post and let me know. All names are welcome. Here are some that we like. 1.Parker 2. Anderson 3.Coleman 4.Taggart 5. Talmadge 6. Kenton. I have put so much thought into these names and some such as Parker, Taggart, and Talmadge have historical church relations. Did you know Parley P. Pratts middle name was Parker? I didn't. Anderson comes from the famous Anderson Cooper who I absolutley adore, and Coleman and Kenton I have just heard about. So take your pick I would love the feedback.

The New First Presidency

President Thomas S. monson (center) is the new Prophet and President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. President Henry B. Eyring (left) is the first counselor and President Dieter F. Uchtdorf (right) is the second counselor. As saddened as I was about President Hinckley's death, I am so grateful that the church and the Lords work moves on. I am grateful for our new First Presidency and I have full faith that they will continue to lead this church in righteousness.

It's Cookie Time

These are some pictures my friend Allison took while the kids were decorating Valentine sugar cookies with their friend Annika! Brielle was way into it and she might just be a future chef. Benson was a tad bit bored, but maybe he felt like it was too girlie. He really enjoyed eating them after they were made though. Thanks Allison!

Where is the iron??

So my doctors office called yesterday to report on my blood test they ran to check my glucose levels. For any of you that are or have been pregnant you will appreciate the fact that I had to drink that nasty orange drink in about 5 minutes! Gross! Anyway, they reported that my glucose was fine, but that I am severly iron deficient. This means that the production of my red blood cells is way low. It is not anything major to worry about and to solve the problem I now have to take an iron supplement 3 times every day. I am blogging about his because I am finally glad to say that I have a medical reason for acting like a zombie for the past week or so. I was reading about low Iron on a medical website and found this, "Iron deficiency can cause fatigue that impairs the ability to do physical work in adults.9-10 Iron deficiency may also affect memory or other mental function." I really thought I was losing it. I just kept telling myself that this pregnancy was harder because I have two kids to keep up with, which is partially true, but it just feels better to me to know that I am not just being lazy. Hopefully the supplements will help and I wont have to drag around all day trying to find some energy to play with Brielle and Benson, or do laundry, or clean the house, or etc.
